WHAT WE DO
-
We love when we spot natural talent and are dedicated to creating a supportive and nurturing environment for its development. We promise to develop coding skills in every child.
-
Most children have a natural curiosity for coding, and for many their motivation to learn is intrinsic. At Code Cadets we offer a student-centred approach to learning which means children often set off on their own personalised learning pathway, tailored to suit their needs and interests. We have a fun and informal approach to what is essentially an academic activity.
-
We love Scratch and block-based coding games here at Code Cadets, but we also love text-based programming languages. Python, HTML and JavaScript are introduced to children at a much younger age than ever before … with incredible results! Now piloting Minecraft Education Edition eSports Coding Tournaments.

THE CODE CADETS LEARNING PLATFORM
Most children aim to receive their first Software Developer badge by the end of their initial term or camp. This badge is earned through a comprehensive introduction to various languages and coding methods - block coding, Scratch, HTML (and Python for slightly older children). As children progress beyond their first term or camp, they may develop a focused interest in specific languages such as Python, JavaScript or HTML, allowing them to pursue specialised badges in those areas. Some children may be awarded the much prized metal ‘Code Mentor’ lapel badge for effort, commitment and motivation. Along their learning journey, all children will receive certificates and online awards to recognise their progress as they navigate our tailored learning pathways.
PERSONALISED LEARNING PATHWAYS

HOW CHILDREN BENEFIT FROM LEARNING TO CODE
While learning to code is fun, our children are also developing a huge array of personal and interpersonal skills
SET YOUR CHILD ON A PATH TO SUCCESS
-
TEXT-BASED CODING AT A YOUNG AGE
Coding at a young age can improve brain development, confidence, and self-esteem. Younger children may start with block coding, but they can also learn text-based programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, HTML, and CSS as early as age 7. Children often thrive on the challenges that learning to code bring.
-
EXPERIENCED & TALENTED TUTORS
Our sessions are led by Computer Science students from top universities who are passionate about their subject and have a wealth of knowledge to share with our cadets. They are managed by a GTC Registered Computing Science teacher and are excited to pass on their expertise to our cadets.
-
FLEXIBLE CURRICULUM
Our curriculum is tailored to your child’s interests and ability level. We offer clubs and camps for children aged 6-14+ covering topics such as block coding, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, animation, Minecraft coding, Roblox coding and Unreal Engine. Children can choose to focus on a specific course or explore a range of mini-courses. Now trialling Minecraft Education eSports Coding Tournaments.
